Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy (also known as The Amanda Knox Story) is a 2011 Lifetime TV movie starring Hayden Panettiere as the title character Amanda Knox, and Paolo Romio as Rafaelle Sollecito and Amanda Fernando as Meredith Kercher. The movie first aired on February 21, 2011, and is based on the murder of Meredith Kercher. The film was shot in Rome after officials in Perugia denied the filmakers access.
